At Theatre Royal Waterford · The Mall, Waterford, Co. Waterford
Breathe bring their Pink Floyd show, titled Dark Side, to Theatre Royal Waterford on Saturday 19 September 2026. The set draws across five decades of the Floyd catalogue rather than staging a single album front to back, and the production leans on the elements that made the originals work live: sustained guitar tone, wide keyboard soundscapes and the sort of cinematic atmosphere the band was known for. Theatre Royal’s own billing points to soaring guitars and lush soundscapes as the heart of the show.
The band formed in 2015 and is made up of Irish session players whose credits include work with Sinead O’Connor, Westlife, Shane MacGowan and Clannad, along with members of Thin Lizzy. That pedigree is why they have become one of the more in-demand tribute acts working in Ireland, with a reputation resting on musicianship rather than costume. Alcohol is served during the performance and patrons may stand and dance, with a request to consider anyone remaining seated. Children may attend with adult supervision. Tickets are €37.
Theatre Royal is on The Mall in Waterford city centre, minutes from the Quay and the main city centre bus stops. Drivers arrive on the M9 from Dublin or the N25 from Cork and Wexford, and multi-storey and on-street parking sit within a short walk of the theatre. Plunkett Station, the rail and Bus Eireann terminus, is across the Suir on the north bank, roughly fifteen minutes on foot via Rice Bridge, with taxis ranking along the Quay afterwards.
