At Hill of the O'Neill · Hill of the O'Neill, Dungannon, Co. Tyrone, BT70 1AB
The Ulster Orchestra brings its On Your Doorstep series back to the Hill of the O’Neill in Dungannon for an afternoon programme billed by the venue as “another fabulous afternoon of best-loved classical music favourites”. The concert runs from 3pm to 4.30pm on Sunday 23 August 2026, on the elevated site above Dungannon town centre that has become one of the orchestra’s regular summer stops outside Belfast.
This is a covered outdoor performance rather than an indoor concert hall date, so the venue advises anyone attending to dress for whatever the weather is doing on the day. It is pitched at general audiences rather than seasoned concertgoers, and the promoters describe it as a concert for all the family. There is one firm restriction: children under three years of age are not admitted. Tickets are sold separately for adults and children, and booking is handled through the Hill of the O’Neill box office rather than on the door.
The Hill of the O’Neill sits directly above Dungannon town centre, beside Ranfurly House, and is signposted from the town’s main streets. Dungannon is reached from the M1 at junction 15 and sits on the A29 and A45, roughly 40 miles from Belfast and 25 miles from Armagh. Town centre car parks are within a short walk of the hill, and Dungannon bus centre on Scotch Street is served by Ulsterbus routes from Belfast, Omagh, Cookstown and Armagh. The climb up to the site is short but uphill from Market Square.
