What to Expect

Tyrone GAA run a rolling programme of four-day summer camps at clubs across the county through July and August, and Week 7 is the last block of the 2026 season. Camps run Monday 17 August to Thursday 20 August, 10am to 1pm each day, and are open to children aged 5 to 13 who have completed Primary 1. Sessions are built around Gaelic football skills, small-sided games and challenges, with hurling and camogie added at the dual venues.

Six clubs host Week 7: Moortown, Dungannon, Errigal Ciaran, Augher, Eskra and Loughmacrory. Booking is by ticket type rather than a flat fee. The standard “No Kit” place is £37 and the “Late Booking, With Kit” option is £50, both including a newly designed jersey and ball, with sibling discounts applied at checkout. Booking closes at 5pm on Wednesday 12 August. Everything is online through the Tyrone GAA events pages, and the county board is clear that no cash or phone bookings are taken. Book early if you want the right gear size, because kit is ordered on the numbers registered. Children need a packed lunch, playing gear, a rain jacket, a change of clothes and towel, sun cream, a water bottle and a gum shield, plus a hurl and helmet at the hurling camps.

Getting There

The Week 7 venues are spread across the county. Moortown is on the western shore of Lough Neagh near Ardboe, reached from Cookstown on the B73. Dungannon is at the western end of the M1 and the easiest venue to reach from Belfast or Armagh. Errigal Ciaran is at Ballygawley in south Tyrone, close to the A4 and A5 junction, while Augher and Eskra are further west along the A4 in the Clogher Valley. Loughmacrory is in the Sperrin foothills off the A505 between Omagh and Carrickmore. All the clubs have free on-site parking for drop-off and collection at either end of the camp day.
