What to Expect

The Connollys of Moy Tyrone Senior Football Championship is the biggest fixture block on the county’s club calendar, and the 2026 edition throws in on Thursday 3 September when Edendork meet Ardboe in Dungannon at 7.30pm. Sixteen clubs contest the senior grade. Tyrone GAA launched the 2026 championships on Saturday 8 August, with representatives of the 2025 winning clubs - Loughmacrory, Clonoe, Clogher, Éire Óg and Omagh - joining county chairperson Martin Sludden and Vivion Connolly of title sponsor Connollys of Moy. Sludden described the club championships as the highlight of the Tyrone GAA calendar.

First-round ties are spread across four evenings at neutral club grounds rather than one county venue, so Dungannon, Omagh, Pomeroy, Edendork and An Charraig Mhór all host games. Round one in full: Thursday 3 September, Edendork v Ardboe, Dungannon, 7.30pm. Friday 4 September, An Charraig Mhór v An Droim Mór, Omagh, 7.30pm. Saturday 5 September, Trillick v Galbally at An Charraig Mhór, 1.30pm; Omagh v Moortown at Pomeroy, 4pm; Loughmacrory v Dungannon at Pomeroy, 5.30pm. Sunday 6 September, Donaghmore v Eglish at Edendork, 2pm; Coalisland v Clonoe at Edendork, 3.30pm; Killyclogher v Errigal Ciaran at Omagh, 7pm.

Good to Know

• Round one runs Thursday 3 September to Sunday 6 September 2026, with throw-ins from 1.30pm to 7.30pm

• Under-16s accompanied by an adult are admitted free and do not need a ticket
• Club championship tickets are sold online through Universe, and Tyrone GAA also offer a 2026 championship season ticket

Getting There

Dungannon sits at the western end of the M1 and is the easiest of the venues to reach from Belfast or Portadown. Omagh is on the A5, the main Derry to Aughnacloy road, with O’Neills Healy Park signposted from the town. Pomeroy, Edendork and An Charraig Mhór are on the mid-Tyrone roads between Omagh, Cookstown and Dungannon, and all are a short drive from those towns. Club grounds have on-site parking, though it fills quickly on championship nights, so arrive early. Translink Ulsterbus serves Omagh, Dungannon and Cookstown, but evening services to the smaller venues are limited and a car is the practical option.
