At Riverbank Arts Centre · Main Street, Newbridge, Co. Kildare, W12 D962
Tolu Makay plays Riverbank Arts Centre in Newbridge on Thursday 1 October 2026 as part of her People Still Cry in Summer tour. The Nigerian-Irish alternative pop and soul singer built her reputation on a voice that carries a room and on live performances that lean hard into the emotional weight of the material.
Her national profile came from a cover that moved Graham Norton to tears, which led on to a performance at the Kennedy Center in Washington. She has opened for Disclosure, supported Gabrielle at the 3Arena and appeared in an RTE documentary alongside Lewis Capaldi and Niall Horan. Her EP People Still Cry in the Summer came out in 2025 and gives this tour its name, and she reached the final of Dancing with the Stars in 2026. Tickets are €25. This is another reduced-capacity Riverbank date, with works ongoing on the neighbouring Newbridge Library building and the seating plan subject to change.
