At Clonmel Racecourse · Powerstown Park, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary
Only the published dates are confirmed for this programme.
Clonmel Racecourse’s November fixture falls on Thursday, 5 November 2026 at Powerstown Park. Clonmel is the home of the Grade 2 Clonmel Oil Chase, the standout jumps race of the venue’s year and traditionally a November fixture, though the racecourse confirms which card carries it closer to the time. It follows on from Clonmel’s September and October meetings, keeping the track’s calendar moving into the darker months. Exact race times and the full card are published on the racecourse website closer to the day.
Clonmel is a National Hunt track, jumps rather than flat, set on a scenic stretch of countryside in south Tipperary, and a November card typically carries a sharper competitive edge than the earlier autumn fixtures as horses come into form for the winter months. The course has a Grand Stand and a Club Stand with a restaurant for anyone wanting a sit-down meal before racing gets under way, plus a covered betting ring, so the meeting stays comfortable whatever the weather does in November. As with any Irish race day the programme runs to six or seven races across the afternoon, with the full card confirmed nearer the date on the racecourse website.
Clonmel sits on the N24, roughly midway between Waterford and Tipperary town, an easy drive from most of Munster and south Leinster. Powerstown Park is about 3km from Clonmel town centre, well signposted from the main road, with ample on-site parking. Bus Eireann connects Clonmel to Waterford, Limerick and Kilkenny for anyone travelling without a car.
Clonmel’s town centre, a short drive from the racecourse, has plenty of pubs and restaurants for making a full day of it, with the Comeragh and Knockmealdown mountains close by for anyone staying longer. There is more to see in Clonmel and across Co. Tipperary.
