What to Expect

The Parachute Testers bring their live show to Wexford Arts Centre on Friday 2 October. The band describe themselves as a group of sonic explorers, with members drawn from Wexford, Leeds in the UK and Ukraine. The line-up is Dave Redfearn, Claire Odlum, Sean O’Leary and Tatyana Grebenyuk.

Their own reference points place soaring female vocals in the territory of Mazzy Star, London Grammar and The XX, set against soundscapes closer to Elbow, This Is The Kit, Zero 7 and Massive Attack. The debut album Halfway To Everywhere sits behind the set, and the Wexford Arts Centre date is billed as an intimate performance with accompanying live visuals rather than a straight band gig, with a European tour to follow. Getting There

Wexford Arts Centre is in the Cornmarket in the pedestrianised centre of Wexford town, a couple of minutes’ walk up from the quay front. Drive in on the N11 from Dublin and Gorey or the N25 from New Ross and Rosslare Europort. Wexford O’Hanrahan railway station, on the Dublin Connolly to Rosslare Europort line, is roughly ten minutes on foot. Paid parking is available along the quays and in the town centre car parks, with evening rates cheaper than daytime.
