Only the published dates are confirmed for this programme.
These Charming Men bring their tribute to The Smiths to the Spirit Store on Wednesday, 30 December 2026. Doors open at 7:30pm on Georges Quay in Dundalk, Co. Louth.
The Dublin-based band has been playing The Smiths’ and Morrissey’s material since 1995, and has built a reputation well beyond Ireland, including a performance at Japan’s Fuji Rock Festival in 2004 to a crowd of 35,000, and regular appearances at the annual Smiths/Morrissey Convention in Los Angeles since 2001. Expect This Charming Man, Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now and more, played with what fans have called a finely tuned, energetic and passionate live show.
The Spirit Store is on Georges Quay in Dundalk town centre, Co. Louth, A91 NR79, a converted quayside store on the spot where the Castletown River meets the harbour. The venue runs a food menu Wednesday to Saturday from 12pm to 8pm and Sunday from 12pm to 6:30pm.
Dundalk is the county town of Louth, a working town of around 43,000 people built around St Patrick’s Cathedral and the old grid of Clanbrassil Street and the Long Walk. It’s also a border town: the M1 effectively runs out here, Newry is twelve kilometres up the road, and the Cooley Peninsula starts just five minutes on the other side of the bay. The Spirit Store itself is a multi-award-winning live venue whose stage has hosted acts including David Keenan, Beth Orton and Ash. See more of what’s on across the county on the Louth hub, or explore Dundalk itself.
