Bobby McCarthy and band head up a pre-Christmas triple bill at the Spirit Store in Dundalk on Saturday, 19 December 2026, with support from Spuds Don’t Bounce and Martin McEnteggart. Doors are from 7:30pm.
Three acts on the one bill on the Saturday before Christmas: Bobby McCarthy and his band top the night, with Spuds Don’t Bounce and Martin McEnteggart providing support. It’s the kind of local, multi-act night the Spirit Store regularly puts on in the run-up to Christmas, giving three different acts a room in front of a home crowd before everyone scatters for the holidays.
The Spirit Store is on Georges Quay, Dundalk (Eircode A91 NR79), on the waterfront a short walk from the town centre. The bar is open from midday on Saturdays, with food served until 8pm, so there’s time to eat before the 7:30pm doors.
Dundalk is the county town of Louth, a border town built around a Norman motte where local tradition places the birth of Cú Chulainn, with a working main street and a live music scene built around venues like the Spirit Store on the quay. If you’re making a night of it, Oriel Park and St Patrick’s Cathedral are both worth a look, the county museum in its old distillery warehouse is small and good, and the Cooley Peninsula is a short drive away for the following day. There is more on Dundalk and the wider county at Dundalk and Co. Louth.
