What to Expect

Naas Musical Society bring Sounds of the 70s to the Moat Theatre for three nights, Tuesday 3 to Thursday 5 November 2026. This is the society’s annual fundraising concert, a run through the decade’s hits with choreography and a live performance from the full company rather than a staged book musical.

The programme includes an ABBA medley and a James Bond tribute among the set pieces. Claire O’Reilly, Sean O’Keeffe and David Kirk direct, with Tom Joyce as musical director and Chloe Connolly choreographing. Proceeds go towards the society’s 2027 main-stage production, The Clockmaker’s Daughter, which runs at the Moat from 6 to 12 March 2027. Doors open at 7:00 PM each night with the performance starting at 8:00 PM. The society is also holding an open night for anyone interested in getting involved on Thursday 27 August at 8:00 PM in the Town House Hotel, Naas, with details available from naasmusical@gmail.com.

Getting There

Naas is off the M7, about 35 km south-west of Dublin, signposted from the motorway. The Moat Theatre is on Abbey Road within walking distance of the main street, with town centre car parking a short walk away. Regular buses run between Dublin city centre and Naas on weekday evenings. Sallins and Naas railway station on the Dublin Heuston commuter line is roughly 4 km from the theatre, with taxis usually available at the station.
