FLIP is a dance performance for children by Monica Munoz, at Roscommon Arts Centre in Roscommon town, on Wednesday, 28 October 2026, with performances at 12pm and 3pm.
Roscommon Arts Centre lists FLIP as a dance show for young audiences from Junior Infants to 5th Class, pitched at children and adults watching together rather than at younger audiences on their own. Two male dancers, Cristian Dirocie and Martijn Joling, move between breakdance and contemporary dance as they follow two characters travelling from isolation to community, turning ordinary objects into something more theatrical along the way. The venue describes the show as a portrayal of diversity that is both humorous and profound. FLIP is funded through the Arts Council of Ireland’s Arts Touring Award, with support from Meitheal.
The centre’s listing gives no further detail on running time beyond the school-year age range above, so check with the box office if you are planning for a specific age group outside Junior Infants to 5th Class. FLIP runs as two separate performances on the one day, at 12pm and 3pm.
Roscommon Arts Centre is on Circular Road, Roscommon, F42 YX61. The centre’s website currently warns of limited parking at the venue because of ongoing construction.
Roscommon town is built around its Anglo-Norman castle, a four-cornered ruin on a mound dating from 1269, with the market square still doing business on market day. There is more to see in Roscommon and across Co. Roscommon.
