Offaly Senior B Football Championship 2026: Round 4

What to Expect

The Senior B Football Championship sits directly below the senior grade in Offaly and is one of the most competitive brackets in the county, because a place in it can be won or lost on a single result. Six teams contest it in 2026: Ballycumber, Ballinagar, Cappincur, Daingean, Tubber and Tullamore’s second string. Unlike the senior grade, which splits into two divisions, Senior B runs as a single group, so every round has a direct bearing on the final standings.

Round 4 spreads across three nights and three very different venues. Ballycumber host Tubber under lights at Pullough on the Friday, Ballinagar meet Tullamore at Geashill on the Saturday evening, and Cappincur travel to Croghan to face Daingean on the Sunday afternoon. Games at this grade are typically tight, low-scoring and played in front of committed local crowds rather than large gates, which makes them an honest introduction to Offaly club football for anyone who has only watched the county side.

Getting There

Pullough is a Grand Canal village in west Offaly between Tullamore and Ferbane, with parking at the club grounds and space along the village road. Geashill is on the R420 between Tullamore and Portarlington, about 15 minutes south east of Tullamore, and Portarlington railway station on the Dublin to Cork and Galway lines is the nearest rail option. Croghan is in the north east of the county near Rhode, reached off the R400 from Edenderry or Daingean. None of the three grounds is served by a regular bus route, so driving is the practical way in. Allow extra time on the Sunday, as the Croghan approach roads are narrow.
