At Tullamore RFC, Spollanstown · Spollanstown, Tullamore, Co. Offaly
The Midlands Junior 1 League is the entry point of the Leinster Rugby club season for the region’s junior sides, and three Offaly clubs are in the draw for 2026: Tullamore in Group 1, with Birr and West Offaly Lions in Group 2. Fixtures published by Leinster Rugby have Tullamore starting under lights on Friday nights and the Group 2 sides playing Saturday afternoons, which is the usual split between the two groups.
Tullamore’s first home date of the run is Friday 21 August at Spollanstown, against Longford, kicking off at 8pm. Before that the club travels to Mullingar RFC on Friday 14 August, also at 8pm, at Shay Murtagh Park. In Group 2, Birr travel to Midland Warriors on Sunday 16 August at 3pm while West Offaly Lions host Edenderry the same afternoon at Gallen Community School in Ferbane, and the two Offaly clubs then meet at Riverside on Sunday 23 August, again at 3pm, in an all-Offaly derby. Junior club rugby at this level is played in front of a local crowd, admission is usually collected at the gate rather than pre-booked, and the clubhouse bar is open afterwards. Later rounds are added to the Leinster Rugby fixtures database as the season progresses, so check there before travelling in case of a switch of date or venue.
