The Midland Rocks Youth Music Festival Showcase Gig takes place at Esker Arts in Tullamore on 18 October 2026, closing out a two-day youth music festival with a public performance.
Visit Offaly describes the gig as the finale to two days of music, creativity and collaboration, bringing together young musicians from Music Generation programmes across Offaly, Laois, Longford and Westmeath. The performers spend the two days developing material and working with professional musician educators before taking the stage for this showcase, with Dubh Lee acting as MC for the evening. It is a showcase of what the participants have built over the two days rather than a set of polished, rehearsed acts, so the programme is shaped by whoever is taking part. The festival is organised by Music Generation Offaly in partnership with Music Generation Laois, Music Generation Longford and Music Generation Westmeath, and is supported by the Music Generation and Arts Council Creativity and Collaboration Fund, with backing from U2, The Ireland Funds, the Department of Education and Skills, Laois and Offaly ETB and Offaly County Council.
Esker Arts is on High Street, Tullamore, County Offaly, R35 NY50.
