At GVM Group Tullamore Mart · Arden Road, Tullamore, Co. Offaly
The Irish Charolais Cattle Society has listed Tullamore Mart as the venue for its autumn bull calf sale on Saturday 7 November 2026. The sale is restricted to males born between 1 March 2025 and 7 November 2025, so the ring is filled with young pedigree bull calves rather than mature stock bulls, and buyers are largely suckler farmers and pedigree breeders looking for a calf to bring on for next season or for a future sale. Entries close with the society on Thursday 8 October.
Tullamore Mart on the Arden Road is one of the society’s regular sale venues, and GVM run Saturday pedigree sales at the yard through the year. Calves are penned for inspection before the auction and buyers can walk the lines and handle stock, with the society issuing a catalogue ahead of the day. Charolais remains the largest beef breed in the country by registrations, and Tullamore’s position in the middle of Ireland is why the society keeps bringing national sales here rather than to a regional mart. Anyone thinking of entering stock should note the closing date rather than turning up on the day, since the sale is catalogued in advance.
Tullamore Mart is on the Arden Road on the eastern side of Tullamore, signposted off the N52 and a short drive from the N80. There is on-site parking and turning space for jeeps, trailers and cattle lorries, which matters on a pedigree sale day when the yard is busy. Tullamore railway station on the Dublin Heuston to Galway line is around 20 minutes on foot. More listings for Tullamore and across Co. Offaly.
