Diversity

Diversity opens at Esker Arts in Tullamore on 14 November and continues to 18 December 2026, bringing together four artists working across pastel, oil and mixed media.

What to expect

Olive Cuskelly, who works near Daingean, shows soft pastel pieces exploring light, colour and nature through layered techniques built around an emotional connection with the natural world. Tullamore based Paula Finlay contributes landscapes and seascapes that focus on how shifting light changes the look of everyday scenes. Ann Mitchell shows contemporary figurative paintings in oil, gold leaf and mica, using marks that stand for repair to address memory and resilience. Regina Bracken, a wildlife and portrait artist working in biro and oil, completes the group with work built around wild spaces and our connection to them. Between them the four artists give the show its range, from quiet landscape studies to figurative work built on personal and ecological themes.

Getting there

Esker Arts is on High Street, Tullamore, County Offaly, R35 NY50.

While you’re in Tullamore

Tullamore is a working market town at the heart of Offaly, with the Grand Canal running through it and the Tullamore D.E.W. Distillery sitting on the water’s edge at Bury Quay. St Colman’s Cathedral, built in 1936, stands in the town centre, and the canal towpath makes for an easy walk before or after a visit to the gallery. There is more to see in Tullamore and across Offaly.
