At Various venues across County Offaly · Offaly Hospice Foundation, Main Street, Tullamore, Co. Offaly
Bewley’s Big Coffee Morning for Hospice is the single largest fundraising day in the Irish hospice calendar, and the 2026 national date is Thursday 24 September. There is no one venue. Instead, hundreds of individual coffee mornings run on the same day in kitchens, offices, parish halls, marts, schools, shops and community centres, and every euro raised in Offaly stays with Offaly Hospice Foundation. In past years Offaly hosts have ranged from pubs and garages to car clubs and residents’ associations.
Hosting is deliberately simple. You register with the campaign, receive a host pack with free Bewley’s coffee, put on the kettle and collect donations from whoever calls in. Hosts are not tied to the official date either, and many Offaly groups run theirs on a weekend or an evening that suits their members better. If you would rather just attend, watch local Facebook pages, parish newsletters and shop windows in the second half of September, when the individual Offaly coffee mornings are advertised.
Because the day is made up of many small local events, you go to whichever coffee morning is nearest you rather than to a single address. Offaly Hospice Foundation’s own base is on Main Street in Tullamore, in the centre of town and a short walk from the main car parks and from Tullamore railway station on the Dublin Heuston to Galway line. Ring the office in advance if you want to be pointed towards a coffee morning in Birr, Edenderry, Clara, Banagher or your own parish.
