What to Expect

Neil Delamere closes out the comedy strand of Wexford Spiegeltent Festival on Halloween night with Neil’s On Wheels, going up at 7pm in the Fortuna Spiegeltent on the quay. Delamere is an Edenderry man who has spent two decades on Irish stages and screens, familiar from panel shows and his own radio and television work, and his live sets lean on quick crowd work and long-form storytelling rather than a run of short gags. He tends to spend a good chunk of a show talking to the room, which makes each night noticeably different from the last.

The tent itself is a mirrored travelling pavilion pitched on Wexford Quay for the festival, with the audience packed close around a small stage. Delamere’s show is the earlier of two ticketed events in the tent that night, with Jamie McIntyre following at 10pm on a separate ticket, so the 7pm slot works as the first half of a Halloween night out on the quays. This is the last night of the festival’s 2026 run, and it falls on the same weekend as the closing days of Wexford Festival Opera, so the town is at its busiest. Several 2026 Spiegeltent shows have already sold out and others are flagged as limited availability, so book ahead.

Getting There

The Spiegeltent is pitched on Wexford Quay in the centre of town, a short walk from Main Street, the Bullring and the town’s bars and restaurants. O’Hanrahan station on Redmond Square is about ten minutes away on foot along the quays, with Irish Rail services from Dublin Connolly and Rosslare Europort. By road it is roughly an hour and forty minutes from Dublin on the M11 and N11, and about 45 minutes from Rosslare Europort on the N25. Halloween night on the quays is busy, so use the town-centre car parks and plan a taxi or a lift home.
