At Moat Theatre · Abbey Road, Naas, Co. Kildare
The Muddy River Band play the Moat Theatre on Saturday 7 November 2026 with a set drawn from three songbooks: Bob Dylan, Neil Young and Van Morrison. The show moves between the quieter ballads and the louder electric material across all three catalogues.
Putting those three writers together makes a certain amount of sense on a single bill. They overlap in period, they all moved between acoustic and full-band settings across their careers, and between them they account for a great deal of what a certain generation of Irish audiences grew up on. The band’s approach is straightforward musicianship rather than costume or impersonation, with the material given room rather than reproduced note for note. Audience feedback quoted by the theatre includes one attendee calling it one of the best nights I’ve had in years. Tickets are €26.50 plus a booking fee through the theatre’s Ticketsolve system, and the show runs from 8:00 PM to about 10:00 PM.
Naas is directly off the M7, about 35 km south-west of Dublin, and signposted from the motorway junctions. The Moat Theatre is on Abbey Road, close to the main street, with town centre car parks a short walk away. Regular buses connect Dublin city centre with Naas, and Saturday evening service runs later than on Sundays. Sallins and Naas railway station on the Dublin Heuston commuter line is roughly 4 km from the theatre.
