At Wexford Arts Centre · Cornmarket, Wexford, Co. Wexford
Pamela Doyle runs a monthly life drawing sketch club at Wexford Arts Centre, working directly from a professional life model. The next listed session is Tuesday 8 September 2026, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM, following sessions on 16 July and 11 August. Each session moves through a variety of shorter and longer poses, with the focus on learning form and proportion by drawing the figure.
The club is untutored, meaning Pamela sets and runs the session but does not teach step by step, so it suits anyone from an absolute beginner to a practising artist who wants regular figure work. Bring your own materials: sketchbooks or paper and whatever you prefer to draw with, whether pencil, charcoal or another medium. Doyle studied fine art at NCAD in Dublin and at the University for the Creative Arts in London, and has exhibited with bodies including the Royal Institute of Oil Painters and the Royal Society of British Artists.
Wexford Arts Centre is in the Cornmarket in the pedestrianised centre of Wexford town, a short walk up from the quay front. Drive in on the N11 from Dublin and Gorey or the N25 from New Ross and Rosslare Europort. Wexford O’Hanrahan railway station, on the Dublin Connolly to Rosslare Europort line, is roughly ten minutes away on foot. Paid parking is available along the quays and in the town car parks, and evening rates are cheaper than daytime, which suits a 6:30 PM start.
