Only the published dates are confirmed for this programme.
Michael English brings his 2026 concert tour to the Headfort Arms Hotel in Kells on Thursday, 22 October 2026, at 8:00pm, with special guest Mick Foster of Foster & Allen.
One of Ireland’s leading country music entertainers, Michael English performs with his full band, running through his own hits including Locklins Bar, Nearest to Perfect and Tuam Beat, alongside Irish classics played at the piano and country favourites made famous by Hank Williams, Elvis Presley and Charley Pride. Mick Foster joins him for part of the night, adding a further well-known voice from the Irish country and folk scene. It is a seated hotel concert rather than a standing gig, in keeping with the Headfort Arms’ regular programme of country and comedy nights. English has built a career spanning traditional country, Irish ballads and contemporary crossover material, and shows built around his own catalogue alongside classics from the American country songbook are a consistent part of his touring set.
The Headfort Arms Hotel is on John Street in the centre of Kells, on the N3 from Dublin, about 65km away. Bus Eireann routes operate between Dublin and Kells, and the hotel is within walking distance of the town centre.
Kells is a historic Meath town, home to the Book of Kells connection and a number of high crosses worth a look before or after the show. There is more to see in Kells and across Co. Meath.
