Getting There

TF Royal sits on the Old Westport Road on the western approach to Castlebar, clearly signposted from the N5 and N60. There is a large free car park on site. Castlebar is about 20 minutes from Westport on the N5, 40 minutes from Ballina on the N57 and N5, and about an hour and a quarter from Galway city on the N84. Castlebar railway station on the Dublin Heuston to Westport line is roughly 15 minutes on foot, though the last train back to Dublin leaves long before a 9pm show finishes, so plan an overnight or a lift home if you are coming by rail. Bus Eireann routes from Galway, Sligo, Ballina and Dublin serve the town, and taxis rank in the town centre at weekends.
