What to Expect

Train Room play their second album, Station Road, live in full for the first time at Bridge St Bar in Castlebar on Friday 4 September 2026. The set runs two and a half hours from 8pm to 10.30pm, and the billing is new original Irish music played live rather than a covers night.

An album launch in a town-centre bar is a specific kind of night: the room is small, the band is playing material most of the audience has not heard yet, and the atmosphere is closer to a listening room than a Friday session. Bridge St Bar has become one of the more reliable Castlebar rooms for original music and workshops, and the event is organised by Joe Monaghan. Tickets are handled through Eventbrite with refunds available up to seven days before the date.

Getting There

Bridge St Bar is on Bridge Street in the centre of Castlebar, within a couple of minutes’ walk of the Mall, Main Street and the town’s other bars, so it is easy to reach on foot once you are in town. There is no parking at the venue. Use the town-centre public car parks, which are free in the evenings, or on-street parking on the surrounding streets. Castlebar is about 20 minutes from Westport on the N5, 40 minutes from Ballina on the N57 and N5, 25 minutes from Claremorris on the N60, and an hour and a quarter from Galway on the N84. Castlebar railway station is on the Dublin Heuston to Westport line, a ten minute walk from Bridge Street, and Bus Eireann services from Galway, Sligo, Ballina and Dublin stop in the town.
