What to Expect

Remember Belleek brings back the Candles nights at Belleek Castle Hotel in Ballina on Saturday 15 August 2026, running five and a half hours from 5.30pm to 11pm. The premise is straightforward: Belleek was a social fixture for a generation of Ballina people, and this night is built to get those crowds back into the same room.

The music is classic hits from the 70s, 80s and 90s, and the organisers frame the evening around familiar faces and shared memories from that era rather than around a headline act. It is an over 18s event. Two ticket types are offered through Eventbrite, and there are no refunds. Parking at the hotel is free.

Getting There

Belleek Castle sits in Belleek Woods on the eastern edge of Ballina, off the R314 Killala road, about a five minute drive or a 25 minute walk from the town centre through the woods and along the River Moy. The hotel has free parking on site. Ballina is in north Mayo where the Moy meets Killala Bay, about 40 minutes from Castlebar via the N5 and N57, an hour from Sligo on the N59, and roughly three hours from Dublin by road. Bus Eireann services connect Ballina with Dublin, Sligo, Castlebar and Galway, and Ballina railway station is on a branch of the Dublin Heuston line. With a late finish and an over 18s crowd, a taxi from the town centre is the sensible way back.
