Medjugorje Weekend Retreat at Knock Shrine

At St John's Rest and Day Care Centre, Knock Shrine · Knock Shrine, Knock, Co. Mayo, F12 Y226

St John's Rest and Day Care Centre in the grounds of Knock Shrine, Co. Mayo

What to Expect

The Medjugorje Council of Ireland runs its autumn weekend retreat at Knock from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 October 2026, based in St John’s Rest and Day Care Centre inside the grounds of Knock Shrine. The retreat is led by Fr Jason Lewis MIC, with Milona von Hapsburg, Fr Stuart McGovern and Fr Ruairi O Domhnaill also speaking across the weekend. The programme is built around prayer and teaching rather than travel: the Rosary, Holy Mass, veneration of the Holy Cross, a Holy Hour of adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, personal testimonies, and talks on the Medjugorje message.

Sessions are spread across all three days. Friday runs from 7pm to 9pm, Saturday is the long day from 9:30am to 9pm, and Sunday finishes at lunchtime, running 9am to 12:30pm. Because the retreat sits inside the shrine grounds, attenders can move between the retreat sessions and the shrine’s own devotional spaces, including the Apparition Chapel and the Basilica. Booking is described as essential by the organisers, and the booking page carries a no-refund policy, so confirm your place before travelling rather than turning up on the Friday evening.
