At Claremorris Town Hall Theatre · Town Hall Road, Claremorris, Co. Mayo, F12 X4E3
Connacht Stars runs at Claremorris Town Hall Theatre on Saturday 29 August 2026 from 5pm to 10pm, presented by the Ukrainian Community Claremorris and billed as a major international concert and cultural festival. Performers come from across Connacht, and admission is free.
The evening is built around more than the stage. There are creative workshops for children and adults, a festive photo zone, and a market of local artists, craftspeople and businesses running alongside the music. Doors open at 4.30pm and seating in the theatre is unreserved. Five hours is a long run for a town hall event, so it is designed to be dropped into rather than sat through end to end, which suits families arriving early and staying for part of the programme.
Claremorris Town Hall Theatre is on Town Hall Road, a couple of minutes from the town square and the main street. Claremorris is a road and rail junction in east Mayo, sitting on the N17 between Galway and Sligo and on the N60 to Castlebar, so it is one of the easier Mayo towns to reach from outside the county. Castlebar is about 25 minutes away, Ballinrobe about 20 minutes, and Galway city roughly an hour on the N17 and M17. Claremorris railway station is on the Dublin Heuston to Westport line and is a short walk from the town centre, and Bus Eireann services on the Galway to Sligo route stop in the town. There is on-street parking and public parking near the square.
