What to Expect

Digital West returns to the ATU Mayo campus on the Westport Road in Castlebar on Friday 2 October 2026. It is a half day event, running from 8.30am to 1.30pm, and it is built around three things: workshops, talks and networking. The organisers pitch it as a gathering “where ideas spark, connections happen, and innovation comes alive”, and they are explicit that it is open to coders, creators and anyone with a general interest in digital work rather than to developers alone.

Getting There

The ATU Mayo campus sits on the Westport Road on the western side of Castlebar, close to the junction of the N5 and the N60, with campus parking on site. It is about a 20 minute walk from Market Square in the town centre. Castlebar railway station on the Dublin Heuston to Westport line is roughly 15 minutes away on foot, and Bus Eireann and Local Link services into Castlebar town centre leave a short walk or a very quick taxi ride to the campus.
