Artist Monthly Meet at the Linenhall

At The Linenhall Arts Centre · Linenhall Street, Castlebar, Co. Mayo, F23 AN24

Artists meeting over coffee at the Linenhall Arts Centre, Castlebar

What to Expect

The Linenhall runs an informal meet-up for working artists on the last Saturday of every month at 11am. It is open to all disciplines, so visual artists, writers, photographers, sculptors and musicians all turn up to the same table. The centre describes it plainly: a space to chat, share ideas and connect with other creative people over a cup of tea or coffee. Refreshments are provided.

There is no application, no membership and no booking. In the Linenhall’s own words, no sign-up, no pressure, just show up. That makes it a useful first port of call if you have moved to Mayo, come back to a practice after a break, or simply work alone most of the week and want other people who understand the work. The next session falls on Saturday 29 August 2026, then the last Saturday of each month after that. The Linenhall also runs related strands for artists including Creative Coffee talks and the Bolay mentorship programme, and the monthly meet is the easiest of the three to walk into cold.
