Twin Hearts Meditation at Drogheda Library

At Drogheda Library · Stockwell Lane, Drogheda, Co. Louth, A92 PY20

Group meditation session in a quiet room at Drogheda Library

What to Expect

Drogheda Library hosts a Twin Hearts meditation session on the second Wednesday of each month at six in the evening. It is one of the branch’s ongoing adult groups and runs after the working day, which makes it accessible to people who cannot get to daytime sessions.

Meditation on Twin Hearts is a guided group practice, so nobody needs prior experience or their own technique. It is led rather than silent, and the session is a fixed length rather than open ended. The evening slot in a public library building keeps it low commitment and unaffiliated with any centre or studio. Enquiries about the session go directly to Yash on 085 862 5519, and it is worth a call ahead of a first visit to check what to bring and whether the room is set out with chairs or mats.

The library’s wider adult programme includes the Just Write creative writing group on the first and third Tuesdays, an International Book Club, a monthly eServices demonstration, and one off evening events such as table quizzes. Between them these give the branch a fair amount of after hours and daytime activity for adults, which is not something every library in the county manages.

Getting There

Drogheda Library is on Stockwell Lane in the town centre, beside Droichead Arts Centre and a couple of minutes’ walk from West Street. Drogheda is signposted from junctions 9 and 10 of the M1 between Dublin and Belfast. Evening on street parking in the immediate area is easier than during the day, and the Scotch Hall multi storey and town centre car parks are both close by. Drogheda MacBride railway station is on the Dublin to Belfast line, about fifteen minutes on foot across the Boyne, with Bus Eireann and Matthews coaches serving the town centre.
