Ralph McTell - Somewhere Down The Road, An Tain Arts Centre

At An Tain Arts Centre · Town Hall, Crowe Street, Dundalk, Co. Louth

Folk singer-songwriter performing on stage at An Tain Arts Centre in Dundalk

What to Expect

Ralph McTell returns to An Tain Arts Centre on the Dundalk date of Somewhere Down The Road, billed as his final national tour of Ireland. The English folk singer and guitarist is best known for Streets of London, but the show draws on a catalogue built over more than five decades, and his live sets have always leaned as much on the storytelling between songs as on the songs themselves. He is a fingerstyle guitarist of the old school, and the format is intimate rather than amplified spectacle.

The Dundalk night sits in the middle of an Irish run that also takes in Navan, Castleblayney, Westport, Sligo, Omagh, Derry, Dublin’s National Concert Hall, Belfast, Armagh, Cork, Kilkenny, Ennis, Tralee, Waterford and Galway across October and November 2026. An Tain Arts Centre is based in the former Tain Theatre in Dundalk’s Town Hall on Crowe Street, with a 350 seat main auditorium, and it is the venue that has hosted McTell on previous Irish visits. Ticket prices are not published on the tour listings checked, so book through the An Tain box office.
