Night Moves - Night Cafes at The Coffee Box, Drogheda

At The Coffee Box · George's Street, Drogheda, Co. Louth

Acoustic musicians performing in a small cafe venue in Drogheda

What to Expect

The Coffee Box on George’s Street turns into a late-opening music room for a Night Cafes session, with four performers across the evening. Ines Tola brings Caribbean-rooted Creole music, Gerry Hodgers plays reflective singer-songwriter material, and Niamh Parsons performs traditional Irish song accompanied by guitarist Graham Dunne. It runs from 8:30 PM to 11:00 PM.

The night is part of Night Moves, a night-time cultural programme for Drogheda curated by musician SJ McArdle and backed by local organisations trying to widen what the town offers after dark beyond pubs and clubs. Night Cafes is the strand that puts music into cafes and small rooms rather than concert halls, and the format is deliberately informal: drop in, order a coffee and cake, and listen. It sits under the monthly Sound Town Night banner, so it is worth checking Droichead’s listings for the next date after this one.
