Mindful Colouring Group at Dundalk Library

At Dundalk Library · Roden Place, Dundalk, Co. Louth A91 RC44

Colouring sheets and pencils laid out on a table at Dundalk Library

What to Expect

Dundalk Library runs a mindful colouring group every Wednesday at 3pm as part of its regular adult programme. The idea is straightforward: an hour of quiet, structured, low-demand activity in company, with materials provided and no requirement to be any good at it. Colouring groups have become a fixture in Irish public libraries because they work for people who would not sign up to a class, including anyone recovering from illness, living alone, new to the town, or simply looking for a reason to be around other people midweek.

There is no registration and no course to keep up with. You turn up on the Wednesday that suits you, sit down, and leave when you want. Conversation happens or it does not, depending on the table. It runs in the library’s public area at Roden Place alongside the rest of the branch programme, which includes an intermediate Irish language group on Tuesdays at 4pm, a monthly Memory Cafe, a Family Carers Support Group on the last Wednesday of the month, and adult book clubs run through the issue desk.

Anyone wanting to check the group is running on a particular week, especially around bank holidays or during branch events, should ring ahead.
