At The TLT Concert Hall and Theatre · Matthew's Lane, Drogheda, Co. Louth
LMFM, the local radio station for Louth and Meath, puts its name to this all-star Irish country bill in the Main Hall at The TLT. The line-up is Foster & Allen, Jimmy Buckley, Mary Duff, Declan Nerney, Olivia Douglas and The Conquerors, hosted by LMFM’s Eddie Caffrey.
That is six acts across one evening, which makes it more of a variety concert than a single headline show. The venue promises live performances, sing-alongs and craic, and the format follows the well-worn country concert pattern of short sets from each act with the host linking between them. The concert runs from 8:00 PM to around 11:00 PM in the Main Hall, and the bar opens at 6:00 PM. A Monday night date is unusual for a bill this size, so it draws a crowd from across the LMFM listening area in both counties.
The TLT is on Matthew’s Lane off Laurence Street, in the centre of Drogheda close to the Tholsel. Drivers from Dundalk, Ardee or Dublin leave the M1 at junction 9 or 10 and follow the town centre signs. Parking is available at the Laurence Shopping Centre next door and at Scotch Hall across the Boyne, and on-street spaces are free in the evening. Drogheda MacBride railway station is about 15 minutes on foot, and Bus Éireann and Matthews coaches serve the town from the Dublin Road and the Donore Road bus station.
