What to Expect

Fuinneamh returns to Bellurgan Park outside Dundalk on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September 2026, built around a 2026 theme the organisers have called “A Collective Dream”. The festival comes out of Ireland’s underground dance scene and the programme deliberately spreads across styles rather than committing to one sound, taking in techno, house, drum and bass and psytrance across the weekend. The first wave of artists announced for 2026 includes Colin Benders, KiNK performing live, General Levy and Mano Le Tough, with Shanti Celeste, Yasmin Gardezi and Peach among the names drawn from the underground circuit. Irish artists on the same announcement include Gemma Dunleavy, Dylan Fogarty and Rory Sweeney, and the organisers have said more names will be added closer to September.

Music is not the whole of it. Fuinneamh 2026 is being staged with an expanded programme of workshops, wellness sessions and cultural activities running alongside the stages, in keeping with the festival’s stated emphasis on collective effort rather than a straight line-up event. Bellurgan Park sits on the Cooley Peninsula road north east of Dundalk, with Carlingford Lough and the Cooley Mountains behind it. The same grounds host the County Louth Agricultural Show earlier in the year, so the site is a familiar one locally.

Getting There

Bellurgan Park is on the R173 Dundalk to Carlingford coast road, a short drive north east of Dundalk town centre. Dundalk is reached from junctions 16 and 18 of the M1 between Dublin and Belfast. Dundalk Clarke railway station on the Dublin to Belfast line is the nearest rail link, with taxis the usual way out to the site from town. Check the festival website for parking, camping and campervan arrangements before travelling, as site access is managed on the day.
