Daydreamers is a solo exhibition by artist Olive Eustace, showing in the gallery space at An Táin Arts Centre in Dundalk through the second half of the summer. It runs to 29 August, which leaves several weeks to catch it before the venue turns over its walls for the autumn programme.
An Táin’s gallery occupies part of the restored Dundalk Town Hall on Crowe Street and is served by lift, so it is accessible from street level. The exhibition is listed by the Arts Service of Louth County Council as running from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and because the gallery sits inside a working arts centre you can usually pair a look at the show with a coffee before an evening performance. Louth County Council’s arts service programmes exhibitions across An Táin, Droichead Arts Centre and Highlanes Gallery, and this is the Dundalk end of that summer run.
An Táin Arts Centre is in Dundalk Town Hall on Crowe Street, in the centre of town just off Clanbrassil Street and a short walk from the Market Square. Drivers from Dublin or Belfast leave the M1 at junction 16 or 18 and follow signs for the town centre. Parking is available at the Crowe Street multi-storey and at the Marshes Shopping Centre, both within a few minutes on foot. Dundalk railway station on Carrickmacross Road is about 15 minutes away on foot, with Enterprise and commuter services, and Bus Éireann and Translink buses stop on Long Walk and Clanbrassil Street.
