At An Táin Arts Centre · Town Hall, Crowe Street, Dundalk, Co. Louth
The Country Superstars Theatre Tour is a touring tribute production built around the songbook of Dolly Parton and her contemporaries. An Táin Arts Centre bills it as the world’s biggest country music tribute show, performed by an award-winning cast that has appeared in London’s West End and been honoured at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.
The show is staged in An Táin’s main auditorium, the 350-seat theatre inside Dundalk’s restored Town Hall on Crowe Street. Expect a full band, costume changes and a run through the country standards that made Parton and her peers household names on this side of the Atlantic. An Táin programmes a steady run of country and tribute nights through the autumn, and this one lands early in the season on a Thursday, so it draws a mid-week crowd from across north Louth and south Armagh.
An Táin Arts Centre sits on Crowe Street in the middle of Dundalk, a two minute walk from Clanbrassil Street and the Market Square. Drivers coming from Dublin or Belfast leave the M1 at junction 16 or 18 and follow signs for the town centre. The nearest long-stay parking is at the Marshes Shopping Centre and the Crowe Street multi-storey, both within a few minutes on foot. Dundalk railway station on Carrickmacross Road is about a 15 minute walk or a short taxi ride, and Bus Éireann and Translink services stop on Long Walk and Clanbrassil Street.
