Exhibition: Bailiú

At An Táin Arts Centre · Crowe Street, Townparks, Dundalk, County Louth, A91 W20C

Exhibition: Bailiú

Bailiú, an exhibition by artists from Creative Spark’s 2025/26 Artist-in-Residence Programme, runs at An Táin Arts Centre in Dundalk from Friday, 9 October to Saturday, 7 November 2026. Its opening launch takes place on Thursday, 8 October at 7pm, and viewing hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm.

What to expect

The exhibition brings together new work by six artists from the residency programme: OMIN, Gráinne Mulligan, Léa Babé, Jeremy Leung, Greta Usaite and Maria McSweeney. Through painting, drawing, photography, digital and interdisciplinary approaches, the works explore themes of memory, place, identity and connection. An Táin Arts Centre says the title Bailiú translates as collection or accumulation, while also referring to a gathering or assembly of people, and that the exhibition reflects both meanings by bringing together artists whose individual practices have developed through a year of research, experimentation and exchange within the residency.

Bailiú marks the twelfth year of the Artist-in-Residence exhibition hosted at An Táin Arts Centre. The Creative Spark Residency Programme, supported by the Arts Service of Louth County Council and the Arts Council of Ireland, offers dedicated studio space, research time and resources to artists who might not otherwise have access to them. No booking is required to view the exhibition.

An Táin Arts Centre includes a visual arts gallery alongside its two theatres, and is itself supported by Louth County Council and The Arts Council, as part of a year-round programme of local arts, national tours, workshops and exhibitions.
