At The Cornerhouse · The Meadows, Mohill Road, Corrabaun, Drumlish, Co. Longford, N39 EA77
Dice in the Dark is a Samhain games night at The Cornerhouse in Drumlish, running from 6:30pm to 11:30pm on Saturday 3 October 2026. The evening is built around beginner-friendly tabletop roleplaying games with scenarios drawn from Midlands mythology and folklore, so the adventures are grounded in local material rather than generic fantasy. Organisers describe tales shaped by harvest fires, wandering spirits and the mysteries that lie beyond the veil.
Alongside the games there are seasonal competitions, food and drink. The night is pitched at both experienced players and complete newcomers, with games run so that people who have never picked up a set of polyhedral dice can join a table without preparation. It is part of the wider Samhain in the Heartlands programme that runs across Longford and Westmeath for the 2026 Halloween season. The event is strictly over 18s.
