Aindrias de Staic and the Latchikos at Edward J. Valentine's

At Edward J. Valentine's · 65 Main Street, Longford Town, Co. Longford, N39 K5T8

Live music and storytelling performance in a bar on Main Street, Longford town

What to Expect

Aindrias de Staic works across storytelling, music, comedy and spoken word, and this Longford date puts all four in the same set. He is joined by the Latchikos, a band whose repertoire pulls from Balkan, Roma, Irish and wider world music, which gives the night a very different sound from a standard trad session in a Main Street bar.

The show is loosely structured on purpose. Original songs sit beside long stories, there is a lot of humour in the delivery, and de Staic leaves considerable room for improvisation and for talking back to the room. Expect the running order to bend depending on how the night goes. It is billed as suitable for adults and older teenagers rather than a family show.

The gig is programmed as part of Samhain in the Heartlands, the Longford and Westmeath strand of the Ireland, Home of Halloween season, and it lands on the same Saturday as several other Samhain events around the county.
