The Leopardstown Christmas Racing Festival runs for four days from Saturday, 26 to Tuesday, 29 December 2026 at Leopardstown Racecourse, with racing from around 12:30pm each day.
Leopardstown’s own festival page names each day of the four: Racing Post Chase Day on Saturday, 26 December, Paddy Power Chase Day on Sunday, 27 December, Savills Chase Day on Monday, 28 December, and December Hurdle Day on Tuesday, 29 December. Across the four days the racecourse stages seven Grade 1 races, the top tier of National Hunt racing, with course wide entertainment and live music in the festival marquee every day. The festival falls in the days between Christmas and New Year, when many people are off work, and it has become a fixture of the post Christmas calendar in south Dublin as much as a purely racing occasion. Racegoers can expect food and drink outlets around the course alongside the racing and music programme on each of the four days.
Leopardstown Racecourse is on Leopardstown Road, Foxrock, Dublin 18. The Luas Green Line stops at Balally, with a shuttle bus to the racecourse laid on for race days, and Dublin Bus routes also serve the area. Car parking is available on site at the racecourse.
