At Prayer Room, St. Patrick's Church, Ballinamore · Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim
The Marian Movement of Prayer for Priests and Families meets in the Prayer Room at Ballinamore Church on the last Monday of every month, gathering straight after the 7:00 PM Mass. The next date is Monday 31 August 2026. The Marian Movement of Priests grew out of the interior locutions received by the Italian priest Fr. Stefano Gobbi from 1972 onwards, and its cenacles follow a simple, settled pattern of Rosary, readings from the movement’s book and prayers offered for priests and for families.
This is a small, informal parish gathering rather than a service with a programme, and the parish notes that all are welcome, whether or not you have attended before. It runs monthly on a fixed cadence, so anyone who misses August can pick it up at the next last Monday of the month. Because the group meets in the Prayer Room rather than the main body of the church, it is a quieter and more intimate setting than a parish Mass. There is no charge, no need to book and nothing to bring.
Ballinamore is on the R202 in east Leitrim, roughly 25 minutes from Carrick-on-Shannon, 30 minutes from Cavan town and 40 minutes from Enniskillen. St. Patrick’s Church is in the town centre, a short walk from the main street, with parking at the church and free public parking nearby on the street and close to the Shannon and Erne Waterway moorings. Since the meeting starts after a 7:00 PM Monday Mass, it runs into the evening and Local Link bus services will have finished for the day, so travelling by car is the realistic option.
