Over 50s Kildare Singles Mingle, Moore Abbey Woods

At Woodstack Cafe, Moore Abbey · Moore Abbey Woods, Monasterevin, Co. Kildare

Group social walk starting from a woodland cafe at Moore Abbey, Monasterevin

What to Expect

This is a low-pressure social morning for single people over 50, held at the Woodstack Cafe at Moore Abbey in Monasterevin on Sunday 30 August 2026, running from 10.30am to 12.30pm.

The structure does most of the work. Everyone starts with a hot drink at the cafe, which is included in the ticket, and some time to talk before anything else happens. Then the group takes a 45 minute guided walk through Moore Abbey Woods, which is deliberately designed to get people talking side by side rather than across a table. Walking beats sitting for this kind of thing, and a woodland loop gives conversation somewhere to go. The organiser, Korina Duffy Ecofitness, provides matching cards and a follow-up form afterwards so anyone who wants to stay in touch can, without the awkwardness of asking on the day. The listing notes that previous events have led to engagements, babies, travel companions and long friendships.
