BBYT Summer School Performance at the Moat Theatre

What to Expect

Brian Brady Youth Theatre closes out its summer school with two public performances on the main stage of the Moat Theatre in Naas. The company puts the work its young members have built over the course of the summer programme in front of a paying audience, on the same stage the Moat uses for its touring and professional bookings. Both nights begin at 7:00 PM and both are ticketed separately, so it is worth checking which date you are booking before you pay.

The Moat lists the run under its family strand, and the room it plays in is a compact single auditorium a short walk off Naas Main Street, which keeps a large young cast close to the audience rather than lost at the back of a big house. No cast list or running order is published in advance, which is standard for a summer school showcase where the material is developed during the programme itself rather than chosen months out. Getting There

Naas sits just off the M7 about 35 km southwest of Dublin, with Junction 9 and Junction 10 both feeding into the town. The Moat Theatre is on Abbey Road, a couple of minutes on foot from Main Street, and the public car parks in the town centre are the usual option for an evening show. Sallins and Naas railway station is roughly 4 km northwest on the Dublin Heuston to Kildare line, and coach services along the M7 corridor stop in Naas.
