Siamsa Tíre Screen Film Club - Tralee

Siamsa Tíre Screen Film Club brings a curated run of Irish and international cinema to the National Folk Theatre’s screen in Tralee, programmed by Kerry International Film Festival for the kind of film that does not always reach the county’s commercial screens. The next confirmed date is Tuesday, 3 November 2026, with a screening of “The Christophers”, starring Ian McKellen and directed by Steven Soderbergh.

What to expect

The film club sits alongside Siamsa Tíre’s wider identity as Ireland’s National Folk Theatre, which otherwise runs a full season of drama, comedy, music and dance through the same building, so a Screen Film Club night is usually a quieter, smaller-scale visit than a weekend show.

Getting there

Siamsa Tíre is in Tralee’s Town Park, a short walk from the town’s bus and rail station, the terminus of the Dublin to Tralee railway line. Kerry Airport at Farranfore is about 16km away, with central car parks close by.
