David O'Doherty: Highway to the David Zone

At Gleneagle Arena · Muckross Road, Killarney, Co. Kerry

Comedian on stage at Gleneagle Arena, Killarney

David O’Doherty brings his new stand-up show Highway to the David Zone to Gleneagle Arena in Killarney on Saturday, 28 November 2026. O’Doherty is an Eddie Award winning Irish comedian best known for absurdist, keyboard-backed stand-up, and this Killarney date sits on a wider Irish and international tour of the new hour.

What to Expect

Expect O’Doherty’s familiar mix of deadpan storytelling, gentle silliness and songs played on his battered childhood keyboard, a format he has built a long career on since first touring solo shows in the 2000s. The material tends toward the personal and the mundane turned strange rather than topical satire, and the tone stays warm and self-deprecating throughout. The show runs at Gleneagle Arena, the large venue attached to the Gleneagle Hotel on Muckross Road, which hosts touring comedy and concerts alongside the hotel’s own entertainment programme through the year. This is a seated theatre-style comedy show built around one headline act rather than a multi-comedian bill. Killarney is the tour’s only Kerry date: the rest of the Irish run takes in the Barbican Theatre in Drogheda on 14 November, the Abbey Tavern in Dublin on 5 and 6 December, and Dolans Warehouse in Limerick on 7 and 8 January 2027, with a Glasgow date at the O2 Academy in between.
