Bernard O’Shea brings his new stand-up show Pick Up Drop Off to Gleneagle Arena in Killarney on Friday, 27 November 2026. O’Shea is a well-known Irish comedian, writer and broadcaster, a regular face on RTE and one of the country’s busiest touring stand-ups, and this Killarney date is one stop on a national tour of the new show.
Pick Up Drop Off is built around family life and the daily grind of parenting, with O’Shea working through, in his own words, “the things we pick up through life, and the things we really should drop off along the way.” Expect an hour built on domestic material rather than topical or political comedy, delivered in O’Shea’s fast, self-deprecating style, and a room skewed toward parents and thirty-and-forty-somethings who recognise the material from their own house. The show runs at Gleneagle Arena, the large venue attached to the Gleneagle Hotel on Muckross Road, which hosts touring comedy and concerts alongside the hotel’s own entertainment programme through the year. Killarney is the only Kerry stop on the tour as listed: the other Irish dates run at the Abbey Tavern in Dublin on 19 September, the Limelight 2 in Belfast on 8 and 9 October, and, into the new year, the 3Olympia Theatre in Dublin on 7 February 2027, the Midlands Park Hotel in Co. Laois on 19 February and Dolans Warehouse in Limerick on 19 March.
Gleneagle Arena is on Muckross Road (the N71), less than a kilometre south of Killarney town centre, beside the Gleneagle and Brehon hotels. Killarney’s rail and bus station has direct services from Cork, Dublin Heuston and Tralee, and the arena is a short taxi ride or a 15-minute walk from the station. Free onsite parking is available.
A night at the arena pairs easily with dinner in town beforehand, with Killarney’s restaurants and pubs a short walk away. There is more to see in Killarney and across Co. Kerry.
