Jimmy Buckley Live at Nuremore Estate

At Nuremore Estate by McGettigan's · Tullynaskeagh East, Nuremore, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan

Country singer performing live at Nuremore Estate near Carrickmacross

What to Expect

Jimmy Buckley brings his live show to Nuremore Estate on the edge of Carrickmacross on Saturday 22 August 2026, with music listed to start at 10pm. Buckley is one of the established names on the Irish country circuit, and the south Monaghan and north Louth border country is core territory for that scene, so expect a late-starting night built around a full band set rather than a seated concert. Monaghan Tourism carries the date on its county events calendar, with Nuremore Estate named as the organiser.

The venue is the hotel and golf estate on the Dublin side of Carrickmacross, now trading as Nuremore Estate by McGettigan’s. A 10pm start puts this in the same bracket as the estate’s other summer live music nights, where the room works as a bar and dancefloor for the evening rather than a rows-of-seats auditorium. No ticket price has been published for this date on either the tourism calendar listing or the venue’s own promotion, and no support act has been announced, so ring the estate before travelling if you want to confirm cover charge and door times.

Getting There

Nuremore Estate sits just south of Carrickmacross on the N2, the main Dublin to Monaghan road, roughly an hour and a quarter north of the M50 and about 40 minutes south of Monaghan town. The estate has a large private car park on site. Bus Éireann services running between Dublin and Monaghan stop in Carrickmacross town, about two kilometres from the door, so a taxi covers the last stretch. Coming from Northern Ireland, join the N2 at Aughnacloy or come south through Castleblayney.
