Heathers the Musical, the stage adaptation of the 1988 cult teen film, runs at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre from Tuesday, 17 to Saturday, 21 November 2026, with evening performances at 7:30pm and matinees on 19, 20 and 21 November at 2:30pm.
The musical follows Veronica Sawyer’s rise through Westerburg High’s most powerful clique, the Heathers, until the arrival of the mysterious JD turns her new popularity into something far more dangerous. The touring production is produced by Bill Kenwright Ltd and won the WhatsOnStage Award for Best New Musical following its London and New York runs. It runs 2 hours 30 minutes including one interval. The show carries an age guidance of 14+, with under 16s required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian aged 18 or over, and no children under 3 admitted. The Bord Gais Energy Theatre’s own listing notes the production includes haze, loud noises including gunshots, flashing lights and strobe, strong language, and mature themes including murder, suicide, sexual violence and references to eating disorders, so it is not one for younger audiences.
