Greenify Loan Launch - Home Energy Evening, Hillgrove Hotel

At Hillgrove Hotel & Spa · Old Armagh Road, Monaghan, Co. Monaghan, H18 RK15

Exhibition stands set up in a hotel function room

What to Expect

Monaghan Credit Union is using the launch of its Greenify home energy loan as the excuse for a full evening on retrofitting, at the Hillgrove Hotel on Tuesday 25 August 2026. Doors and the exhibition area open at 6pm, and the talks and panel start at 7pm, running to a 9pm finish. Admission is free but registration is required and places are limited.

The exhibition floor covers electric vehicles, windows and doors, solar panels, insulation, heat pumps, energy-efficient products and other sustainable living suppliers, so it works as a chance to compare installers face to face rather than by phone. The speaker list is practical rather than promotional. Therese Conway, chief executive of Collaborative Finance, introduces the Greenify loan itself. Orla and Mel from Monaghan County Council go through the SEAI grants and how they stack with borrowing. Engineer Peter Coyle covers what actually makes a difference in an older Monaghan house, David Berry takes electric vehicles, and passive house consultant Sean McKenna talks through passive standards. If you are weighing up a retrofit and trying to work out the order to do things in, that combination of lender, council grant staff and technical people in one room is the useful part.
