At Moat Theatre · Abbey Road, Naas, Co. Kildare
Gerry Guthrie brings his band to the Moat Theatre on Sunday 27 September 2026 as part of his second nationwide concert tour. The Mayo singer has fronted his own five-piece band since 2010 and has six studio albums behind him, along with a run of awards that includes Vocal Performance of the Year, Musician of the Year and Album of the Year.
Guthrie sits in the Irish country tradition that fills halls and hotels across the midlands and west every weekend, but the theatre format gives the show a seated concert shape rather than a dancing night. His set draws on his own radio singles alongside the standards that audiences at these gigs expect. The venue reports that last year’s dates on this tour sold out and drew strong reviews, so booking ahead is advisable. Tickets are €30 plus a booking fee. The Moat programmes country regularly, with Legends of American Country on 13 September and Dominic Kirwan on 1 November in the same run.
Naas is directly off the M7, about 35 km south-west of Dublin, and signposted from the motorway. The Moat Theatre is on Abbey Road, a short walk from the main street, with town centre car parks close by. Buses run regularly between Dublin city centre and Naas, though Sunday service is lighter, so check return times. Sallins and Naas railway station on the Dublin Heuston commuter line is roughly 4 km from the theatre.
